Edinburgh Bicycle is one of the UK’s leading independent bicycle retailers. Established in 1977 we now have an annual turnover of around £10 million and employ between 150 and 200 people, depending on the season. We operate 5 retail outlets across Scotland and the North of England as well as an Online business and a warehouse on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Throughout our history we have won a number of awards for marketing and business excellence. We are dedicated to developing the local and national markets for cycling by offering our customers quality products, excellent value and high levels of service. A distinctive feature of our business is the strength of our own ‘Revolution’ brand of bicycles, cycle clothing and cycle accessories.

Edinburgh Bicycle is legally structured as a workers’ co-operative. After working for the business for 1 year, full time employees are eligible to become members of the co-operative. The members of the co-operative ‘jointly and severally’ own and control the business.
