Welcome to Thetford Limited HISTORY Established in 1973 by Dr John Wilkie a professor of ophthalmology at Sheffield University, using a process called flow forming, Spinflo Limited was born and began manufacturing portable metal sink and hob units for retail at leisure industry outlets for use when camping. Spinflo moved forward developing products into a niche market working closely with the manufacturers of caravans, motor homes and boats and began to develop products to customer specifications. The growth of Spinflo from 1975 – 1996 was quite small and was built on the companies ability to provide a personal service to the customers in the leisure industry. By 1997 Spinflo had developed innovative products to become the market leader in the leisure market supplying caravan, boat and motor home manufacturers in Europe, Australia and New Zealand with sinks, gas fires, ovens, hobs and cookers. In July 2005 Spinflo was acquired by an organization called Thetford Limited and the name was changed to Spinflo by Thetford and company became a member of the Thetford (BV) European group and is still a leading manufacturer in the leisure market expanding their market base in Europe and America. In January 2010 an integration commenced and a new legal entity was born under the name of Thetford Limited
