JOB TITLE: Supplier Quality Engineer
LOCATION: West Yorkshire
SALARY: £28-30K
BENEFITS: 25 Days holiday, BUPA cover, Life Assurance
My Client is a leader in the market for supplying advanced automotive technology, systems and components. They are driven by the desire to develop technology and be the leaders in their market.
The Role
Overseeing all quality related aspects to a supplier's new product introduction as well as developing existing suppliers.
Review of suppliers control plans and FMEAs prior to launch to ensure that these are meaningful and utilised documents
Conduct thorough audits prior to line off to ensure supplier readiness
Manage the PPAP approval of parts by liaising with other departments as required.
Perform audits of potential new suppliers
Track the quality performance of suppliers, identifying suppliers that need special development activity
Manage the development of non performing suppliers
Manage immediate supplier quality concerns
The Person
Educated to degree level in mechanical, production or automotive engineering
Previous Quality experience
Experience within a high volume production environment
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
