    Shift Maintenance Electrician - Sheffield
    £28-31,000

    Our Client based in Sheffield, working in the heavy engineering / metals sector, currently have a requirement for a Maintenance Electrician.

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for the electrical maintenance of a variety of billet conditioning, heat treatment and engineered products (new development) equipment. Focused on the introduction of a highly effective predictive and preventative maintenance system to prevent unscheduled outages. You will be highly motivated and will require the minimum of follow up, you will possess a high degree of flexibility and a can do attitude to your work as well as being detail orientated and organised. You will be a major exponent of Health and safety practices.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    -Maintenance of machine tools, cranes, furnaces and other equipment within the Cyclops site
    -Take a key role in the development, creation and implementation of PPM schedules to achieve maximum machine availability
    -Work with multi functioning engineering team to develop shared skills and competencies within the team
    -You will be required to understand complex electrical and mechanical systems, be able to diagnose problems, perform safety & quality risk assessments and effect repairs quickly and safelyIdentify critical spares requirements
    -Utilising the Frontline maintenance management system for generation of maintenance schedules, logging of work & closure of work orders

    Ideal Requirements
    -Served a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering
    -Substantial experience within an industrial environment
    -ONC/HNC Electrical Engineering (desirable)
    -City and Guilds 17th Edition Electrical Regulations
    -PLC, CNC Systems experience - PC Literate
    -Has a good understanding of mechanical systems
    -Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
    -Personnel Attributes - ability to work within a team, can communicate with people on all levels, pro-activate and motivated attitude.
