An opportunity has arisen to work as a Transport Co-ordinator within a local government environment within Rotherham Town Centre.
The Main purpose of this role is to ensure effective and efficient management of the waste management transport fleet in line with the requirements of the Refuse Collection and Recycling Services Contract.
To provide a single point of contact for the unit in relation to all transport related enquiries/issues - this to include working in conjunction with the Corporate Transport Unit.
Undertake transport monitoring, ensuring efficient deployment of resources, compliance with all health and safety procedures and legislative requirements and the adoption of safe working practices.
You will need to have experience in
- a transport operational environment
- working with partners to deliver service sto contract specification
- fleet data management
- determining the status of vehicles
- making decisions to ensure a continuous service deliver.
