| Student and Academic Services Fixed Term until 31 December 2009 Reporting to the Diversity Co-ordinator you will be involved in a range of activities which will support the development of the equality agenda at Sheffield Hallam University. This will include being responsible for liaising with and for the university's staff diversity forums and supporting working relationships with student diversity groups and student union representatives. You will also support the further development of the university's equality schemes and equality impact assessments. You will also be involved in monitoring staff and student equal opportunities data and the collection of information on the experiences of staff, students and stakeholders from diversity groups. With the ability to act as a role model both within and outside of the University you will have a proven track record of demonstrating a genuine commitment to equality and diversity through broader experience. You will be approachable and accessible to groups of internal and external stakeholders and will have effective diplomacy and networking skills. With good interpersonal skills, you will be a customer focused, enthusiastic and flexible team worker with the ability to work accurately and on your own initiative. Educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, you will have experience in an office environment and have experience of computerised IT systems and committee servicing.
