    A fantastic opportunity to further you career as an assistant accountant in Rotherham.You will be an integral position within the finance function.The duties will include:

    1. Analysis of nominal ledger postings

    2. Preparation of month end accrual schedules.



    3. Analysis of nominal ledger and identify likely prepayments. Maintain a schedule of current prepayments.



    4. Analysis of internal transfer documents and post the required journals.



    5. Maintain the cash flow rolling forecast and assist with the monthly cash flow forecast for submission to group.



    6. Reconciliation of wages and salaries documents from payroll to the amounts paid through the bank and the provisions in the balance sheet.



    7. Production & distribution of weekly depot revenue monitor.



    8. Production & distribution of weekly and monthly KPIs



    9. Preparation, review and subsequent reporting of monthly and depot accounts.



    10. Production of inter-company templates for Dr / Cr balances.



    11. Check / produce supplier statement reconciliations and confirm that all receipts have been processed by depots for month-end cut-off



    12. Maintenance of fixed assets register.



    Compilation of month-end WIP schedule using information provided by various departments





    Death in Service Benefit:

    2 times annual salary.



    Pension:

    3% individual contribution plus 3% company contribution

    The position attracts a degree of responsibility and as such requires a strong background in general accounting procedures and techniques as well as an ability to be able to work as part of a team and on ones own initiative.



    - Educated to degree standard or equivalent

    - Studying towards a suitable accountancy qualification, preferably CIMA

    - Experience in a similar role

    - Excellent interpersonal skills

    - Customer focused

    - Results orientated

    - Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

    - Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
