Full Description:
Leading national firm with Head Offices in Sheffield seek an experienced Head of PR to join their Business Development and Communications department.
You will be responsible for managing and developing the firms overall PR strategy. You will be required to:
develop and implement media relations strategies
managing the in-house press office and PR agency network
proactively develop and identify PR opportunities that support current and forthcoming marketing and business development campaigns and public affairs programmes
You will coach the firms key spokespeople to enable them to identify and respond to media enquiries and PR opportunities - helping to raise the firms profile and increase the reputation of the firm.
In addition you will maintain and develop day to day contacts with key media connections and journalists, research, write and distribute press releases and identify opportunities to increase the profile of the firm.
When required, you will work with the Business Development & Communications Director to manage the firms agreed crisis management strategy to ensure that the firm is able to respond quickly to media intrusion on issues that could be damaging to the reputation of the firm.
The successful candidate will be CIPR qualified and possess a degree in a relevant subject. You will have extensive experience at senior management level within PR and media relations. You will need to be an outstanding communicator with strong networking skills and the ability to work under extreme pressure and to tight deadlines.
