Reporting to the MD of a distribution business we are looking for a talented individual, likely to be working at HR Officer level at present and ready for the next step to Manager.
With a strong generalist background you should be confident and able to advise Managers in all areas of employment law and provide a comprehensive HR service to Directors. You will have demonstrable experience in the implementation of policies and procedures such as sickness, maternity and paternity leave etc, attend and carry out investigatory interviews in relation to discipline and grievance matters and handle any trade union during these processes. Other areas of the role include: dealing with all recruitment matters, staff inductions/new starters, health & safety (understanding of policies), training and development, performance related review/appraisal system, management of the payroll and staff records.
You should be qualified or studying towards CIPD.
