Our Client are a Award Winning Engineering Company who require a
Quality Manager
Requirements/Spec for this job will be:
• Monitoring general quality with regard to current on-going production at the Whitstable sites and to ensure any quality problem encountered is resolved efficiently and effectively
• “Supervisions” of all Quality Controllers and Quality Engineers
• Respond to complaints/rejects raised by customers, ensuring all relevant information relating to the complaint/rejection is immediately passed to the appropriate personnel such that the reported fault can be contained and correct on future production. To liaise with Production Control and Sales with respect to fulfilling the customers requirements for replacement parts.
• Verifying acceptability of new/revised customer and internal drawings and information appropriate departments of any customer requirement changes. Updating the customer issue list (external)
• Monitor and determine disposition of work rejected from shop floor
• Monitor level of production scrap, liaising with Production Manager in cases where levels are unacceptable high
• Complete weekly list of unacceptably high rejects/scrap together with customer rejects where deem to irrecoverable. Distribute costed list to appropriate heads.
• In liaison with the Purchasing Manager, monitor quality performances of suppliers informing and discussing through any material problems on deliveries found at Goods Inwards or in actual production having sought appropriate input from Production.
• QMS: ISO 9001-2000 maintain Quality and Procedures Manual
• QMS: TS16949 obtain/maintain TS16949 Quality Manual
• Implement advanced Quality planning
• Maintain accurate records of PPM internal/external
• Auditing of manufacturing process and maintain audit plan
• Objective: to satisfy the customer needs and the company
• Observe Health and Safety Regulations within working area.
