| JOB: Quality Inspector LOCATION: Barnsley SALARY: £16,000 - £18,000 My client one of the largest manufacturers in their field, who sell throughout Europe, the USA, the Far East, Australia and South Africa, have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector. Tasks and Responsibilities: Perform inspection in accordance with product quality requirements. Visual inspection for weld defects / imperfections. Check weld sizes against engineering drawings. Inspection of paint condition. Perform minor rework operations. Record all traceability related information. Record quality issues found during inspections. Provide feedback of quality issues to production personnel. Gain knowledge of previous quality issues to prevent reoccurrence. Attend Quality Meetings. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to company procedures and policies. Skills and Requirements: An effective and assertive communicator (both written/oral). Able to organise time to meet deadlines. Excellent observation skills and a high degree of attention to detail. Background in Engineering. Ability to interpret engineering drawings. Previous experience of inspection essential.
