| Our Client based in Barnsley is currently seeking an experienced horizontal Borer to manufacture tooling and machinery for the glass industry. You will also be responsible for turning, surface grinding and cylindrical grinding however experience of these are preffered but not necessary. You will be working with cast-steels and cast-iron and sometimes stainless. You will be working down to tolerances of a 1000 0.001 inch. You must be able to set and operate machinery efficiently, read engineering drawings from CAM, be conversant with imperial and metric measurements and be adaptable to work. Working hours are Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30 Fri 08:00-15:30. Overtime is available till 6pm during weekdays and Saturday mornings all paid at time and half.
