An exciting opportunity exists for an Operations Manager looking for a new challenge. This is a new position for my client, and would suit a hands on, self-motivated candidate who can really help to drive the business forward.

Your duties will be twofold; managing the day to day running of the internal sales function and overseeing the running of the warehouse.

The internal sales team currently stands at a team of three, but with a view to expanding this side of the business over the next two years. Currently this is a reactive department due to the large volume of business. The plan is to introduce outbound calling to really help develop the business even further and this is something that the Operations Manager will be involved in. The company are also looking at providing amore in depth technical back up to their clients which is something that you will be involved in.

On the warehouse side, you will be line managing the Warehouse Supervisor and three members of staff. This will involve looking at the best position for stock flow, implementing stock control systems and introducing full bar coding. Again, the business is keen to grow so additional warehouse staff may need to be recruited.

You will report in to the GM and keep him abreast of all activities on a regular basis. This will include running sales reports and MI reports.
