Our Client are a leading Food Production Manufacturer and are looking for a MATERIALS CONTROLLER.
Being part of the internal Supply chain you will be Accountable for ensuring that all materials and ingredients are available to meet the production plan, ensuring no downtime, maintaining agreed stock holding levels, and actively managing the process for rationalizing costs within the inbound supply chain.
Key Accountabilities:
. Responsible for the project management of packaging rationalisation to deliver business cost and environmental objectives
· Continually review supply chain agreements to reduce packaging stock holding
· Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials and ingredients to site to maintain continuous production against plan. · Responsible for analysing MRP, placing orders and reserving capacity with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
· Continually analyse actual ingredient and material usage against MRP to improve accuracy, understanding root causes, and implementing changes.
· In conjunction with Supply Chain Planning Team, minimise obsolescence of materials and raw ingredients on product de-lists · In conjunction with Supply Chain Planning Team and Technical department, ensure the successful launch of all new products, by understanding the critical path, and management of supplier base, from sign off of artwork to site delivery for pre-production trials.
· To develop supplier review meetings to focus on improving service, quality and supply chain efficiencies.
· To attend any meetings as agreed with Supply Chain Manager.
· To issue any reports to agreed timelines as agreed with Supply Chain Manager.
· Provide out of hours contact via mobile phone as agreed with Supply Chain Manager.
