| Job title Catering Assistant Nights Site The Royal Hallamshire Hospital Main area Directorate of Hotel Services Town Sheffield Grade Band 1 Salary £12,182 - £13,253 p.a. pro rata Contract type Fixed Term for 6 months Closing 30 May 2008 17:00 Hours Part Time 24 hours per week Job ref HJUK/8665C Hours: 24 worked over 4 nights on rota Fixed Term for 6 Months We are looking for someone to join our team of catering assistants, working in one of our largest dining rooms. The Catering Department utilises the expertise of the caterers and the clinical experience of the dieticians to ensure that patients receive high quality, appropriate and nutritionally adequate food. The department is also responsible for the food service to staff and visitors through its outlets in dining rooms, vending machines and delicatessen bars. Your duties will include plating patient meals, clearing and cleaning down crockery etc, from the dining rooms, coffee lounge and areas of special functions. To keep all areas clean and tidy in accordance with the standards detailed in procedures, as well as complying with hygiene, health and safety requirements. You will be educated to GCSE, grade D or above including Maths and English (or equivalent). Have good communication skills and have the ability to create and maintain good working relationships with individuals and teams. There is the opportunity to joint the NHS Pension scheme and childcare facilities are available on site. Holidays commence at 27 days per year and rise on service to 33. This post is unlikely to attract a work permit.
