| Our client, based at Barlborough, is a leading provider of professional business software - specialising in financial IT solutions. They are looking for a support technician to join their highly skilled team of software consultants that have a focused approach to delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves the successful individual to offer customers a project manager approach to the entire project, in addition a technical consultant's role to provide the installation, configuration and training of Access Accounts and other integrated management solutions. As such it is imperative that the candidate has the ability to offer sound technical knowledge after intense training. On occasion, you will you be expected to provide second tier support to our end user base and provide knowledge and support to other members of the support team. You will need: - A strong academic knowledge of accountancy procedures and a minimum of 5 years practical experience of using accountancy software i.e Access Accounts, Sage Line 50, Pegasus or equivalent. - A sound IT background with knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and a good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and its relationship with other applications. - To be a customer focused individual who is happy and confident to liaise with employees of all business levels both face to face and via the telephone. The individual will also have the ability to provide training to customers either on a one to one basis or in a classroom environment. - A Driving licence is required as on site visits are a daily occurrence. |
