    A leading eBusiness solutions provider are seeking to appoint a Production Manager to help drive the continued success in their busy and lively studio.

    The successful candidate will have a definite technical bias; this will have been developed and enhanced within a web-based environment. The appointed person will have a very strong background in managing the production and development of high quality, complex software systems in PHP4/5, MySQL, Javascript /AJAX, Java and .Net. They will have a good understanding of the issues related to delivering systems that are robust, secure, accessible and compliant with industry standards.

    As this role concerns the management of production from various teams of specialists, the successful candidate will need an overview of related areas such as Hosting, Systems Administration, QA and Testing, and Web, Graphic, and Usability Design, as well as an appreciation of how these areas are factored into the website production lifecycle. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, and will always be prepared to maintain a working knowledge of the latest production and technical practices and standards, and to drive forward the refinement of these practices and standards.

    In addition, the successful candidate will possess people management skills and will be expected to influence and contribute towards company strategy. This person will be able to draw upon experiences gained working with teams in a management role. Strong project and resource management experience would be a key advantage, as well as the ability to identify skills gaps and to provide the appropriate training and development. In addition, this candidate will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing and appointing members of their teams, so experience of hiring staff and good interview practice would be valuable. The role will mean working with project technical leads and heads of section to line manage staff in collaboration with HR/Operations.

    The salary bracket for this position will be between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum dependant upon skills and experience.
