Technical Helpdesk Operator
£14,000 - 15,000 D.O.E.


Job Role…

Will be to assist both existing and new customers, residential, business or student, in accessing the company's services - If the issue cannot be resolved over the telephone, escalate to 2nd line support. Other duties will include responding to queries in line with Company procedures and if necessary directing to the appropriate department, diagnose / rectifying customers’ issues, actively managing your own and your teams' workload to ensure internal SLA’s are met, assisting with accounts queries, taking payments and to assist with any other reasonable task as delegated by senior members of staff. You will also be required to undertake necessary training, initial and ongoing, to effectively fulfil your role.

The Successful Candidate…

You will need to have good working knowledge of Operating Systems to include XP and Vista and a basic (minimum) understanding of networking. Previous experience in a helpdesk / support role is required as is experience of working within a customer service environment. You will also need to have a solid understanding of networking, particularly TCP/IP. Personality-wise you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be a real team player whi can work well under pressure and contribute effectively to the staff team.
