A vacancy has arisen for a Data Quality Manager to join a team within the Chief Operating Officer’s directorate at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Hospital Trust. The post plays a key role in ensuring that the Trust improves its patient data quality, particularly in relation to the contract minimum data sets and the 18 week wait monitoring information. This will involve working at all the Trust sites. Applicants should have a degree, equivalent professional qualification or 3 years relevant experience including 12 months in an acute Trust. A post graduate qualification in a management or professional discipline would be an advantage. Applicants should have experience of report writing, excellent communication and organisations skills and the ability to work on own initiative. The experience and confidence to engage with staff at all levels in the organisation to and to implement change is also required. Applicants should either be able to write SQL queries or have the ability to acquire this skill and have experience of using spreadsheets and pivot tables. A clear understanding for the need to maintain patient confidentiality is also essential. This post is unlikely to attract a work permit.
