APPLICATION DEVELOPER
BASIC SALARY OF £30,000 - £32,000 PLUS BENEFITS
JOB ROLE:
- Develop, support and maintain business critical systems
- Provide investigation, evaluation and recommendation for improvements to systems and processes
- Work with internal and external customers to define requirements and deliver technical demonstrations
- Monitor existing systems to ensure they are working correctly during business critical times.
- Propose developments which can benefit the business through deployment of new technologies.
- Provide ad hoc development, data support, data analysis for other business where necessary.
- Cross-training to support other technologies within the development team.
- Fully document systems used to process and manage core business.
- Ensure code is of a high standard and is easily maintainable.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of methodologies, standards and policies.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- C#
- ASP.NET
- SQL Server 2005, T-SQL
- XML Schemas, XSLT, XPath
- XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- BizTalk Server 2006 Orchestrations and Administration
- OOA, OOD and Design Patterns using UML 2.0.
- SOA Design Patterns
- Agile or related
- Support and maintenance including VB.NET 1.0 and MS Access 2002
