Job Description
Our Sheffield based client are currently looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to work alongside two of their fee earners.
Purpose of Role
Contribute to the efficient running of the company by working as part of a team to deliver a client focused and professional secretarial and administrative service.
Responsibilities
- Work with other members of the team to provide efficient administrative and personal secretarial assistance including audio and copy typing of letters and documents, mail management, completion of forms, and other administrative duties requiring good personal time management and prioritisation skills;
- Ensure that all work produced and issued to clients is of a high quality and that the firm’s corporate presentation standards are followed at all times.
- Provide designated secretarial and administrative services to fee earners as required.
- Ensure that telephone calls and enquiries to the department are dealt with efficiently and effectively, taking messages where appropriate.
- Ensure that documents are correctly filed and archived in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
- Make a proactive contribution to the overall development, implementation and smooth running of internal administrative procedures including the use of the firms in-house computer system, Case Manager.
- Identify and undertake continual personal and professional development including contributing to the development of others;
- A minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent;
Person Specification
- Demonstrable accurate and efficient Word Processing and Audio Typing skills (min 60wpm)
- Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office products;
- A least 12 months experience of working in a similar role;
- Willingness to develop IT skills relating to in-house software Case-Manager
