NDT Engineer – Sheffield
£ Excellent + benefits
Initial contract role leading to permanent position
My clients are a market leading engineering company supplying metal finishing services to the aerospace industry. Their services include providing close tolerance surface treatment onto aircraft parts made from metals including Titanium, Aluminium and stainless steels.
As a second tier supplier to companies including Airbus, Rolls-Royce and BAE they have a commitment to quality and meeting the most stringent customer specifications.
In their mission to become the supplier of choice to all of the aircraft “prime” companies they have recently extended their scope to include Non-Destructive Testing.
They have installed “state of the art” magnetic particle and penetrant lines in a purpose built testing room which exceeds all current aerospace requirements.
To strengthen their winning team we are looking for a person with:
- Current certification to level 2 Mag & Pen ( EN4179 / NAS 410)
- Extensive aerospace experience
- An attention to detail
- Ability to read & interpret specifications
- Experience working to NADCAP criteria would be an advantage
Candidates with PCN or ASNT level 2 certification may be considered, but ONLY if they have documented experience examining aircraft components.
Initially a 3 – 6 month contract potentially leading to permanent contract
