Funding is available for those aged between 16 - 18.
Wages
WNational Apprenticeship Minimum £2.60 per hour
Workign Hours
Monday - Friday 37.5 per week.
Job Description
To contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in our nursery
To give support to other staff when needed and work as part of a team
To implement the daily routine in the room you are working in
Contribute to providing a range of age appropriate, high quality activities and experiences for the children in your care linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage
To have a good understand of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Statutory Framework it includes
To carry out regular observations on children and link these to the planning of activities and developmental records
To care for and ensure the health and safety of all children in your care
Keep developmental reports up to date for your key children and ensure they are available to parents at all times
Support all staff and work as part of a team
Liaise with, support and respect parents and other family members at all times
Be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. Preparing snacks and meals, cleaning equipment and cleaning the classroom
Report any accidents to the person in charge immediately and report to parents upon collection
Look at Fairmount Nursery as a whole and recognise where your help can be most utilised
Be aware of and meet the individual needs of all children
Understand and adhere to Fairmount Nursery policies at all times
Develop your continuous professional development by accepting support and attending any training necessary
Contribute to providing a stimulating learning environment for all children whilst respecting and observing their differing cultural and religious beliefs and stage of development
Be aware of the high standards of the nursery and to uphold these at all times
Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Report any concerns to the appropriate person immediately
To attend staff meetings
To have a good understand of safeguarding issues and what your role is with regards to it
To behave in a professional manner
Report any developmental concerns/safeguarding issues to management
Qualification
Fully Funded Level 2 or 3 in Children and Young Persons Workforce
