Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION - EXPERIENCED STOREKEEPER
My client is part of an international Group. They are a leading Repairer and Installer of Induction Metal Melting Furnaces. Based near to Attercliffe they are looking to appoint an experienced on site storekeeper who can also assist with other ad hoc shop floor duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to Operations Manager you will manage daily control of bought in materials and issue of stock items to workshop operatives. The title does not limit your duties and the Company may require you, from time to time to do any work within your capacity Taking control and ability to implement change in stores and storage areas is of paramount importance in an environment that provides customer service round the clock.
Working in an engineering environment (not warehouse) with critical timescales to be met it is imperative that adequate materials are available at all times with full accountability, this will be your aim. It would be an advantage for the postholder to have current Fork Lift Truck licence and knowledge of Control of Hazardous Substances with Health & Safety Awareness
The company are based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Working hours will be 08.00am to 16.00pm Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs per
week with 50mins unpaid lunch break
Overtime is payable provided that a normal 37.5 hrs has been worked
The basic salary will be £8.50 per hour, which will be paid weekly in arrears by bank transfer.
You will be entitled to 20 days holiday every year in addition to normal statutoryentitlement
