Job Description
My client based in Sheffield is looking for an experienced Recruiter to join their Apprentice division
PURPOSE OF JOB: To source vacancies and placements and match learners to the opportunities, ensuring that contract targets are met.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure targets for starts, placements and progressions in line with contractual targets are met.
- Establish and maintain links with apprenticeship providers and ensure any vacancies are matched to e2e/FL learners and positive outcome is achieved.
- Have own caseload of learners and be targeted on number of vacancies sourced and learners matched to vacancies.
- Ensure all aspects of H&S requirements are met and all placements/work trials have appropriate paperwork completed. Train staff on Pre Vets where required.
- Actively promotes my clients services to employers, placements and partners.
- Work pro-actively with external partners e.g. Connexions to ensure up to date information and data is gathered and shared.
- To collect information on College courses, apprenticeships, employment opportunities etc and make available to learners.
- Assist in tracking positive destinations (A5O) in timely fashion to ensure they meet contractual targets.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard and passed to admin in a timely fashion.
- Attend youth Clearing Events, School Open Days, BME events etc
- Work closely with 16-18 apprenticeship team to ensure seamless transition from e2e/FL to apprenticeship provision.
12. To maintain statistics on numbers in employers, placements and tasters.
13. To take an active part in job search with groups of learners and individual learners as required:
- To comply with all company processes and procedures and adheres to deadlines.
- Completion of all necessary administration eg reviews, timesheets, lesson plans determined by external and internal requirements in line with contractual deadlines.
- Promote and share good practice throughout.
- Produce statistical and management information.
- Committed to continuous improvement – personal and organisational.
- Increase the profile of the company by assisting in the marketing and interviewing.
- To ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time and in line with organizational requirements.
- To keep all appropriate records.
- To keep all equipment, classrooms / areas clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- To undergo internal and external training when required.
- To ensure implementation of the Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities policies and Quality systems at all times.
- To undertake and carry out any additional duties deemed necessary by line management.
- IT literate.
- Ability to encourage, inspire and motivate learners and candidates through good use of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and make decisions.
Knowledge required
Health & Safety
Previous marketing experience
Experience of successfully working with disengaged young people
Scope
May occasionally be required to work out of normal hours
Overnight stays may occasionally be required
Full driving licence, their own vehicle
Learners may be spread over a wide geographical area.
Skills required
Communication: both verbal and written. Good listening and feedback skills.
Organisational skills: ability to manage own work load, ensuring all records are
maintained and learner paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
Team working: working closely with colleagues and sharing information to ensure the
best possible support for the learner
