Excellent opportunity for an experienced (4 years minimum)  IT Support Technician who has computer systems and computer hardware experience within a manufacturing environment. IT Support Technician - Manufacturing

Based at the Sheffield headquarters, and supporting users internationally, it is essential that the IT Support Technician has 4 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment and is a team player and comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

The IT Support Technician  role requires a hands-on approach, where you will be technically involved in the specification, implementation and completion of companywide IT projects, focusing on providing and improving IT services for over 150+ users worldwide. 

Attention to detail is paramount and the successful candidate should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Server products. An understanding of SQL Server 2000 would be a distinct advantage. 

Day to day tasks will include :-• Hardware Installation • Maintaining data integrity and assisting in the maintenance and development of the company’s ERP system.• Providing the first point of contact for users Ad hoc and general data analysis • Testing new systems• Instigating & following up support calls to 3rd party suppliers• Supporting, maintaining hardware; Installing software & related IT equipment• Technical support for all printer issues and for Windows and Mac systems• Setting up new laptops & mobile phones • Administering, maintaining, and monitoring user accounts in a Microsoft Windows server environment• Network administration
