Job Description
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Health Advisor for one of our clients, a new and progressive Nottinghamshire business providing high quality healthcare in the workplace.
You will be traveling around the UK, promoting high standards of health and safety in a variety of clients establishments.
You will be required to provide professional Occupational Health advice, work with clients to develop and promote new Occupational Health initiatives, implement and promote Occupational Health policies, procedures, protocols and standards of practice and provide support and advice with the clients’ management of sickness absence.
Work will be challenging and varied and is suitable for applicants looking for a part time or full time contract.
Clinical duties will include:
- Participating in the health surveillance of individuals or groups of staff identified as being at risk
- Evaluating a plan of care for the allocated clients
- Making decisions about priorities of care for a range of clients within the working environment in collaboration with senior colleagues
- Conducting a full range of pre-employment screening and assessment for fitness for work with minimal supervision
- Advising on safe systems of work: personal protective equipment and specific client company health surveillance requirements with minimal support
- Working in collaboration with HR and management of clients to promote good working relationships and continuity of care and provide general advice on any work related health issues
The ideal candidates will:
- Be a Registered Nurse with experience in a similar role, supported by Occupational Health Qualifications (Certificate, Diploma or Degree)
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be client focused and have a caring and respectful attitude
- Be prepared to travel with possible overnight stays
- Be prepared to drive a mobile health screen vehicle
- Be IT literate
Applicants must have a full, valid UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Company vehicles will usually be provided but on the rare occasions that they cannot be, mileage expenses will be paid.
