Job Description
Our Client is currently looking for two warehouse operatives/ Loaders to join there busy workforce. the position would involve working as part of a very busy team but at times working on your own initiative in order to complete loading and unloading of goods including steel and engineering products.
experience in using overhead cranes and counter balance forklift trucks is essential.
successful candidates will be provided with full training and also supplied with full PPE equipment including cold weather clothing as some of the tasks will involve working outside during certain parts of the shift.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to read and identify customer consignment details and load schedules.
Operate a diesel powered counterbalance fork lift truck.
operate electric overhead cranes - lifting of various load sizes and shapes and be able to use various slingsand chains to safely attach all loads lifted by one of the pendant operated cranes.
have the ability to safely drive there lorries between loading bays and warehouses during the process of loading and unloading of flat back and curtain sided vehicles.
flexible towards shift patterns (Afters and Nights)
