Job Description
The successful candidate will work alongside the Engineering Manager and Engineering Sales Team to help design, calculate and oversee the build of a wide variety of lifting and handling equipment.
The role will involve:
Designing and calculating stresses of lifting and handling equipment.
Estimating Costs.
Liasing with suppliers and purchasing materials.
Visiting Clients with Sales Engineers to help develop a solution.
Following quality documentation procedures.
Liasing with production to ensure delivery times are on schedule.
Responsibility for technical delivery of designs, checking and approval of drawings and working together with the Engineering Manager.
Experience required:
An ability to problem solve, evaluate and optimise designs.
3D model and CAD experience in Solidworks including static simulation/FEA. This is essential.
An ability to work individually and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong commercial awareness.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Driving License is preferred.
This is a very hands on role and candidates must be willing to learn and share any ideas. A competitive salary is on offer for the right candidate.
