Job Description

SteelBaker are pleased to be working with a Sheffield based distribution company with a turnover in excess of £40 million.

In a newly created position you will report to the Finance Director and have full responsibility for the Credit Control function which will involve:

-          Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the Credit Insurers

-          Maintaining and updating all discretionary limits

-          Applying for endorsed limits & being able to question decisions based on financial information

-          Day-to-day cash collection

-          Managing relationships with customers

-          Credit insurance renewals

-          Processing claims through the Small Claims Court

-          Customer visits when necessary

You will also be required to:-         

-Authorise payments to purchase goods/act as a cheque signatory

-          Give weekly collateral reports to the bank

-          Support other areas of the business

Ideally you will have studied for the ICM qualification and have a strong background working as a Credit Manager in the past.
