Job Description
Sheffield- Permanent- payrate around £10 per hour + shift allowance.
The purpose of the job is to set and operate a Deep Hole Borer machine to accurately produce components within set production times.
Duties:
- Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications
- Select machine & appropriate tools required to manufacture components from engineering drawings
- Operate machine tools to produce components to correct standards
- Work in line with HSE policy and procedures, re housekeeping, safe systems of work
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working deep hole boring machines up to 10 metres in length
- Working knowledge of relevant tooling applications and machine tool capability including tool feeds & speeds, to achieve efficient cycle times
The successful candidate will have experience of working with exotic materials and Counter boring & skiving experience.
