Job Description

This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced Employability Relationship Manager to join this leading strategic body which has an active place in educational activities within the region on a 12 month fixed term contract. The organisation is a not-for-profit organisation and has the backing and support of the LCS and other regional funding organisations.

The Relationship Manager would identify what help the employer needs with recruitment, retention of employees and skills/workforce development and arrange for services to be provided. He/she would also be a first point of call for help over the contract period in relation to these issues.

Key responsibilities :

· to engage employers, mainly SME’s and social enterprises in the Sheffield Employability Programme · to market the concept to employers and get their commitment to being involved in the Sheffield Employability Programme · support employers, particularly SME’S, with high vacancy turnover and those at higher risk due to the recession, with a range of employer services accessed via partner organisations · connect businesses to Jobcentre plus Employment services and to Learning & Skills Council/Business Link Yorkshire skills services including ‘train to gain’ and apprenticeships · provide ‘end to end’ employer relationship management to ensure business satisfaction in a way which ‘hides the wiring’ · achieve the targets including employer engagement, referrals to the support package strand, vacancies sourced, people into jobs and jobs safeguarded · to work closely with support package organisations so that the needs of employers are met · to get employer feedback on how the service is meeting their needs to ensure claim and other required data is maintained and collected as required

The ideal candidate will have a current full driving licence. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to generate written reports and other business documents, experience of employability related activity.
