Inspire Resourcing are seeking a demonstarable senior design engineer for a client in Chesterfield.
Job Title: SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER
Job Synopsis:
An engineering graduate/professional with proven experience of 2D and 3D mechanical design origination. The role includes design and origination of new assemblies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and mentoring existing team of design engineers.
Qualifications:
- €¢Relevant Engineering Degree. The individual must possess Chartered Member status with the IMechE or equivalent engineering institution
Relevant Experience:
Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis.
Design of heavy fabrications, machined and cast components, structural steelwork, mechanical handling equipment, conveyors, rotary screens or vibrating conveying equipment.
Knowledge and experience of ‘heavy’ engineering (steel/metals industries, recycling, materials handling) is desirable.
Design and origination of new assemblies including supporting calculations.
Skills/Proficiencies:
€¢General computer literacy and confidence should be a prerequisite.
€¢Applicants should be proficient with the latest versions of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Thorough knowledge of MS Office Software (in particular, Excel, Word & Outlook)
€¢Experience of using Autodesk Vault would be beneficial but not essential.
