A National Insurer now has an opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join their SME team based in Leeds. As an Assistant Underwriter you will be delivering first class customer service and supporting the team in underwriting, negotiating and servicing the business within authority limits. You will need to maintain productivity, quality and service standards whilst handling and positively resolving customer enquiries. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records and produce prompt and quality documentation in line with company practice.

To be right for this role you will need to have gained experience within an insurance business with exposure to property and/or casualty underwriting. You must be customer driven and will need to possess excellent communication and team working skills. An ability to cope with varying workloads and pressures, and an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work is key in this role.
