Permanent Assistant Accountant required - Job reference number 1114377

My client based Sheffield who are a national service provider are looking to recruit an assistant accountant to join their small but busy finance team. Based in a central location in Sheffield this is an exciting opportunity to join a very well established company on a permanent basis. This role offers fantastic progression and full training and development. They are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual who has ideally recently graduated within accountancy & finance, maths, business or economics and is looking to continue with their professional accountancy qualifications

· Recoding invoices onto bespoke accounting system
· Journal postings
· Costing
· Cash book maintenance and reconciliations
· VAT calculations
· Foreign currency reconciliations
· Reporting month end figures
· Assisting with preparation of annual accounts
· Assisting with budget preparation
· Analysis of cash balances
· Preparation of statutory returns
