ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience of the forging or aerospace manufacturing environment highly desirable
? Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or associated discipline) essential
?

DESIRABLE
- Experience of 6 Sigma (Qualification/ Training) desirable but not essential
? Experience of quality and process control tools such as FMEA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, MSA etc. desirable but not essential
? Excellent IT skills expected, particularly with manipulating and analysing data in excel or Minitab or similar, knowledge of CAD drawing systems desirable, ability to interpret engineering drawings
? Attention to detail, pro-active and self-motivating, Good written and verbal communicator with internal and external customers, ability to interact positively with staff and shop floor across all departments.


ROLE INFORMATION IN DETAIL:

? Provide mechanical engineering oversight to the forge and heat treatment areas from a technical control perspective
? Develop systems for maintaining consistent process controls for these key process in our plant; develop robust procedures with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure that these critical items are maintained in accordance with our technical requirements
? To ensure that utilisation of this equipment is maximised
? To lead audits and maintain relevant customer and 3rd party qualifications of these areas (e.g. NADCAP Heat Treatment)
? Become part of the internal audit team to support the Quality activities throughout the site
? To lead continuous improvement and cost reduction activities with full consideration to approvals required by our customers
