OVERVIEW
-Provide metallurgical knowledge and skills which will ensure compliance of company product with our customers? requirements
-Involves analysing a large amount of information based on product standards, manufacturing processes and test & inspection
responsible for interpreting customer specifications and ensuring product conformance.
-Resolve technical issues relating to material purchase and processing through the supply chain
-To develop new products and manufacturing methods.
- Responsible for reporting to senior managers, sales team and customers, so previous experience of presentations to all levels.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Excellent understanding of metallurgy and material processing
-Understanding of Quality procedures
-Excellent attention to detail
-Good understanding of Inspection procedures and processes
-A strong technical knowledge of metallurgy and test and inspection techniques
-In depth knowledge of mechanical, non-destructive testing and
corrosion testing.
DESIRABLE
-HNC level or higher in a Metallurgy or
Materials Science discipline.
-Previous experience from a lab based testing metallurgy background
ROLE INFORMATION IN DETAIL:
-Manage, monitor, and proactively advise on hot material conversion
-Will be interpreting large amounts of information and prepare reports accurately
-Design / Preparation of production routes
-Prepare methods of manufacture
-Customer Liaison
-Involvement with customer Audits of the Company
-Investigation of non-conformances
- Develop and maintain in-house specifications, quality plans and manufacturing procedures.
- Resolve raw material and manufacturing process metallurgical problems
