Applications are invited for the following temporary part-time post which is tenable from 1st August 2009 until 31 March 2010 in the first instance.

CAREERS ADVISER – temporary part time maternity cover (hours negotiable to a maximum of 18 per week – exact working times to be discussed at interview).

Job ref CARCAS01 (Salary: Scale 5 - £20,156 - £22,040 pro rata)

As part of the Student Services team, you will provide students with impartial advice and guidance on both an individual and group basis, about educational and vocational pathways related to their college courses.

Applicants should possess:
•Diploma in Careers Guidance (parts 1 and/or 2), or Qualification in Careers Guidance, or NVQ 4 Advice and Guidance preferred, NVQ3 Advice and Guidance will be considered.
•Experience and the ability to work independently and manage projects;
•Effective communication and networking skills
•The ability to work in an educational or careers related setting.
