OVERVIEW
- To manage all aspects of purchasing services and materials, ensuring the cost effective running of the production needs of the company
-Will be working in a fast moving reactive manufacturing environment so similar experience would be an advantage
-Assessing current supply chain organisation and look for areas where cost saving measure can be implented

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Experience of Purchasing and supply chain role based in a manufacturing environment
-Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office package.



ROLE INFORMATION IN DETAIL:

-Agree and implement continuous improvement initiatives to develop suppliers to establish a "world class supply chain process

-Actively research the supply chain for cost out opportunities to provide improved solutions, ensuring low cost, best value.

-Source new items to support the new product development process

-Communicate with suppliers and continually look at methods to improve material cost of sales

-Adopt a flexible approach to the role according to the needs and the resources of the Department and undertake all other duties as appropriate to the post

-In conjunction with other team members, to ensure that flexible working arrangements are in place at all times, for the whole department, particularly during annual leave and sickness, to cover team members if required

-Assist and provide cover for others in aspects of their work as delegated from time to time
