I am currently recruiting for an accounts person based in the Barnsley area. Ideally the candidate will posses the following skills:
Experience with incorporated and unincorporated entitities
Ability to supervise assignments performed by less experienced individuals
Ability to progress assignments to manager/partner review level
Experienced with accounts preparation
Microsoft Office experience
Working for a manager within the accounts department at a level between manager and accounts trainee you should have excellent accounts preparation skills supported by a period of experience in such a role. Your day to day role will involve bridging the gap between trainee and manager by taking assignments to the next level suitable for manager review by supervising/overseeing the work performed by the trainee and finishing the assignment which may include resolving any queries raised by the client.
You may also be asked to visit client premises to perform assignments and therefore ideally the use of own transport is ideal.
You will posses excellent communication skills enabling you to liaise with clients. The candidate must also be AAT qualified level 3 with a sound accounts practice based background.
