We have full time and part time, day or night positions in all areas of Sheffield including S1, S2, S5, S6, S7, S8, S10, S11, S12, S14, S19, S20, S35 and S36.
Vacancies include:
Sitters - this involves staying at one service users home - either on days for a period between 2 and 6 hours or nights from 10pm to 7am (9 hours). This is an ideal opportunity if you like building relationships. (positions available for both days and nights)
Double carers - this involves working with another carer and visiting the homes of our service users who require a higher standard of care.
No experience necessary as full training is provided but you must be willing to study towards an NVQ level 2.
Training is for 3 months and the payrate whilst training is £5.75 weekdays and £6.25 weekends.
Once training is completed your pay will increase to £6.25 weekdays and £6.90 at weekends.
You will have the ability to work with Service Users in a caring manner that ensures dignity and respects the right of the service user to be independent.
You will develop a good understanding of the complex needs of older people receiving care services.
You will have a good command of spoken English and be presentable to Service Users with good general health
You will support the values of person centred working and promotion of independent living.
