    A fantastic opportunity has become available to work for one of the worlds most prestigious leaders in materials and power generation as a Process Engineer.

    The position may be an immediate start for the successful candidate & is based within the Doncaster area.

    The main perpose of the role is to take responsibility for the process design engineering on identified projects, providing engineering information and documentation within the time schedules and costs limits set in order to meet the customer’s needs.

    Although the job title is process engineer, this position is not the traditional process engineering role associated with the petro chem. Industry. The role involves overall process design of materials handling plant but with a heavy emphasis on mechanical engineering and design of the company’s systems.

    Key Objectives
    • To work within the Engineering and Technology Team to assist in the implementation of the Business Plan to meet both the hard fiscal sales and profitability targets, and the soft business development targets set.
    • To promote by active teamwork participation, our core values at all times maintaining:- A highly professional approach to Customer Relationship Management in all its aspects, A highly professional approach to all engineering related activities, A high level of proficiency in the related aspects of CB technology and out business processes
    • To take responsibility for the engineering management, organisation and control of all process engineering requirements on selected projects as directed by the Engineering Manager, working closely with the applicable Project Manager to ensure that the Customer’s specified engineering requirements are interpreted and fulfilled correctly.
    • To specify and produce all process documentation, technical specifications and process calculation for the systems sold by the company, ensuring that all designs meet company, international and customer specifications and standards within the time schedules and cost limits set, and the contractual performance criteria.
    • To provide and maintain consistent forecasts of all tasks required to complete all outstanding foreseeable work on a weekly basis, and to manage these tasks within the budgets set and agreed.
    • To carry out Factory Acceptance Testing as required.
    • To provide application/process engineering support to the Sales Team and Commissioning Team as required, participating in Customer meetings and presentations and including the lead active role in troubleshooting when required.

    As well as the key objectives you will be expected to carry out any other duties which can reasonably be assessed as part of your role. This will include and element of international travel as required.

    Core Skills
    • Customer focus and flexibility with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (verbally and in writing)
    • Self managing with the ability to manage ones own and others work schedules
    • Good time management, personal management, decision making skills, and IT literacy, particularly in CAD and calculation soft wear.
    • Sound understanding of mechanical engineering with strong process engineering skills
    • Good analytical and problem solving skills
    • Minimum qualification HND in mechanical engineering or similar, Degree level in mechanical engineering is a strong advantage
    • Industrial experience

    Working relationships
    • Working closely with other Engineering Team members and other departments as necessary to ensure the Company’s engineering and projects are co-ordinated on a daily basis.
    • Customers, Partners, Agents and Suppliers.

    Although the role is office based, it also includes some face to face meetings with clients both in a sales support role and also during engineering meetings, therefore you will need to be presentable, have good communications skills and be able to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner when under pressure.

    In reward for this you will receive a basic salary of £27,000 - £31,000 (depending on experience) + benefits.
