Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £29,000 - £35,000
My client is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer To assist in the design and development of the companys products, bringing innovation and adding value to the R&D function.
Job Role
1) To be involved in the design and development of new products.
2) To produce mechanical general arrangement and detail drawings.
2) To carry out mechanical and process design calculations.
3) To prepare bills of materials and parts lists for test and manufacture.
4) To provide technical support to the commissioning team during plant start-ups and to take a lead when required with technical problem solving.
5) Support and advise the overseas subs on product knowledge
CORE SKILLS AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
1) Able to create mechanical engineering designs, drawings and documentation.
2) Creative with the ability to innovate.
3) Good analytical and problem solving skills.
4) Able to communicate effective around engineering issues and able to present technical ideas clearly.
5) Organised, motivated and self-managing.
6) Able to work effectively as a member of a team.
7) IT skills, particularly those used for CAD, calculation packages and those used for compiling documentation.
