We are currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client, for a Design Engineer, based in the Sheffield area. They are offering a competitive salary along with fantastic benefits.
The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Degree qualified Senior Design Engineer to join our Technical Department. Reporting directly to the Design Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will have “hands on” design ability, typically with regard to equipment employed in the field of mechanical engineering/mechanical handling.
Competency Required (Essential):
• Solid Works (or Solid Edge / Inventor)
• AutoCAD
• 3D Modelling
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Project
The candidate will be expected to produce calculations to support their designs which would embrace simple beam theory and various combinations of drive and lever arm type systems.
It would be expected that the candidate would have some project management background.
