We are currently recruiting on behalf of our new prestigious client, for 3 Laser Machine Operators, based in the Barnsley area. They are offering a competitive salary along with fantastic benefits.
The Purpose of the Role:
The safe and efficient operation of the laser machines working to company guidelines and procedures within the team structure to produce components of the specified quality observing safe practices and procedure at all times asking for help when necessary or when the task is unclear
Key Skills:
* CNC profiling/laser experience
* Metals handling experience
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Experience of using basic measuring equipment eg. Verniers
* Fork lift truck licence
* Willingness to work shifts
Role:
* To set up the machine correctly in order to cut each material at the maximum speed, to achieve
the specified quality
* To check programs, inspect parts and package for delivery
* To carry out all preventative maintenance routines in order to take good care of our machine tools
and other equipment, and report all faults
* To carry out all materials management procedures i.e. stocking, racking and identification.
* To help other team members to maximise efficiency across the shift, whenever possible i.e.
unloading machines, marking up components etc.
* To participate actively in the teams Continuous Improvement Program and to request the training
required to do the job
* To work within the companies safety procedures and other working rules including safe material
handling with the use of forklift trucks, cranes, pallet trucks and other duties as requested
* To complete timesheets (own & machine) accurately, clearly and completely every day
* Other duties as requested from time to time in a safe and professional manner.
