A company who are at the forefront of global spring technology are looking for a problem solving engineer or metallurgist to join their team. The company provide services to the spring industry, supplying spring testing machines, and spring design software. The company operates from their EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 17025 accredited laboratories in Sheffield 3.
This technical consultancy role will involve supplying materials and engineering advice to spring manufacturers and spring users worldwide. Primary tasks will be:-
1. Undertaking Failure Investigations in order to gain experience in spring applications.
2. Organising individual investigations to provide practical solutions
3. Production of final written technical reports that are supplied to our customers.
As experience is gained, the successful applicant will be expected to deliver training courses in all aspects of spring technology, which are increasingly delivered outside the UK, notably Europe, USA and Asia.
Applicants are likely to have a honours degree or higher in engineering or metallurgy and will be required to show expertise in understanding and solving problems.
