Working within Norwich Union Health Services, you will be providing expertise and support to our internal and external customers on all their occupational health needs.
You will have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service via the telephone.
At present, the Health Services team in Sheffield consists of around 50 staff in a team-based environment. Reporting to a Team Leader, you will provide customers with a consistently high level of service by ensuring telephone queries are resolved or forwarded to the appropriate area for action, within agreed timeframes and service levels. This is all done in an environment of trust, commitment and accountability.
About The Role
This is a fixed-term position initially until 31/03/09.
In this role, you will be responsible for dealing with inbound calls from our wide-ranging customer base, using your skills to resolve their questions and requests. You will also liaise with our medical professionals in order to resolve queries or gather further information to satisfy customer needs.
Salary: £14,000 (pro rata) plus excellent benefits and the chance to work within a fun, friendly and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve pre-set levels of both quality and productivity in order to meet individual and team goals, ensuring all pending and in progress work is consistently reviewed on a daily basis
• Liaise with internal departments (including medical professionals) in order to resolve queries or enhance the level of customer service delivered to policy members
• Plan and organise own daily work to meet service targets
• Contribute to new initiatives and assist in continuous improvement programmes
• Support fellow team members, as required
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as outlined by the Team Leader
Experience, skills & qualifications:
• Educated to GSCE 'O' level standard (or equivalent) including Maths & English at a minimum of Grade C, or above
• Working within a customer service/sales environment, preferably within financial services or customer orientated organisation
• Experience of various health services/products would be an advantage
• Evidence of being able to work in a team
• Building rapport with customers
• Excellent customer service skills, including problem resolution
• Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills
• Attention to detail with good decision making/judgment skills
• Organisation and time management skills
• Positive and flexible approach to change
• Able to communicate with a wide-ranging customer base
