Our client is a conference & catering business with a difference. A social enterprise, which means they trade commercially to a high standard, but shares the profit around as much as possible. Launching an external catering service around 3 yrs ago, which has now grown steadily and is expected to increase turnover by 70% in the next 12 months.
Now looking for an enthusiastic, bright and can-do manger to look after & develop this area of the business. Currently offering 30 hrs per week, but anticipate offering substantial overtime as the business develops & expect the position to grow over the next 12 months.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the external delivery business and internal conference requirements. Person specification
>Experience in hospitality or catering industry. Understanding of food & safety laws in particular HACCP. Preferably trained to intermediate in food safety
>Good communication skills & an organised approach to work with a fast accurate work load
>Experience of supervising staff or demonstrable ability to so
>Able to lift & carry reasonably heavy loads with a clean driving licence
Normal hours of work: 30 hours per week. Mon - Fri 7.30am – 2.30pm. Some weekend and evening work required.
