Wanted Now CNC Machine Setter/Operator Rotherham
Our New client is based in Rotherham, who manufactures turned and prismatic components for the automotive and aerospace industries. We are currently looking to recruit on their behalf Permanent experienced Setters / Operators for their organisation, which will produce the required components using a variety of machines including lathes & machining centres.
Key Tasks of this role are general responsibility for efficient setting and operation of production machines;
Production Tasks.
Provide support to the Team Leader and provide cover in their absence.
Ensure programs / set up’s are capable and efficient.
Flag up problem areas affecting production.
Operate production machines efficiently and produce good quality product.
Follow working procedures
Record operation cycle times.
Assist operators.
Assist with production planning to achieve best results.
Engineering Tasks.
Assist with training.
Provide technical support to others.
Ensure efficient use of tooling by operators.
Liaise with Engineering Department regarding process methods, tooling,
work holding etc on new and existing jobs.
Identify and assist with problem jobs, processes, etc.
Help to maintain the safe and efficient running of machines.
Assist with the resolution of quality concerns.
Other Duties.
Assist with the general running of the shop in the absence of the Production Manager
Improve and maintain house keeping.
Carry out basic maintenance.
Shift handover – pass on all relevant information to the next shift, Team Leader / Setter
Back up Key Holder – open / close factory as necessary.
Please note these positions include working a three shift pattern
Days - 6am till 2pm – 5 shifts
Afters – 2pm till 10pm – 5 shifts
Nights – 10pm – 6am - 4 shifts
Pay Rates £9.76 for am/pm and £12.19 nights
